2009 Update:

3 years ago Doha Hockey Club didn’t exist.  A group of friends used to meet up after work every now and then for a hit around on a school playing field, but there was no club, and no games. 

Today, Doha Hockey Club has more than 70 “paid-up” members who practice regularly, has entered 2 mixed teams in the Qatar National Hockey League, and has a Ladies’ team who, last season, played a series of games against the Qatar Hockey Academy.

There is a huge mix of people who play with the club; the age range is from 16 to 60(ish), and players come from all over the world.  There are boys and girls, men and women, beginners and ex-Internationals, competitive and social players.  There is something for everyone at Doha Hockey Club – competitive high class hockey, social & mixed hockey, training for beginners, and very importantly, a vibrant social scene.
